BrightCHAMPS Refund Policy

Last modified date: May 25, 2026

(to be applicable across verticals and subsidiaries)

(hereinafter referred to as “Policy”)

Purpose

This Refund Policy sets out the terms, conditions, eligibility criteria, and process applicable to refund requests raised by registered students and/or parents (“Student/Parent”) enrolled in any course, program, or service offered by BrightChamps.

Exception

For RoboCHAMPS enrollments, the amount charged toward the Robotics Kit shall be non-refundable under all circumstances.

Scope and Eligibility

To be eligible for a refund under this Refund Policy, the parent or legal guardian enrolling the student with BrightChamps (hereinafter referred to as the “Parent/Guardian”), including any student participating under the supervision, authorization, and responsibility of such Parent/Guardian, must satisfy all of the following conditions:

  1. The Parent/Guardian must have successfully enrolled the student in a course, program, or service offered by BrightChamps.
  2. The applicable course, program, or service must not have been fully completed.
  3. Eligible unused class credits/classes may qualify for a refund strictly in accordance with the terms, conditions, limitations, deductions, and exclusions set out under this Refund Policy.
  4. For this Refund Policy, class credits/classes may be treated as utilized if scheduled, reserved, conducted, attended, partially attended, accessed, or otherwise made available to the student.
  5. BrightChamps’ services shall be deemed to commence upon enrollment and/or activation of any related services, including curriculum access, class scheduling, mentor allocation, onboarding, or platform access.
  6. For one-to-one classes, a refund request must be formally submitted within 10 (ten) days from the date on which payment is received by BrightChamps (“Payment Date”).
  7. Any refund request submitted after the expiry of the aforesaid 10 (ten) day period shall be deemed ineligible, irrespective of whether classes have commenced, been scheduled, attended, accessed, or utilized.
  8. For one-to-many/group classes, refund requests must be formally submitted within 10 (ten) days from the date of the first scheduled class (“Class Start Date”).
  9. Mere non-usage, non-attendance, scheduling difficulty, change of preference, dissatisfaction, lack of participation, or failure to attend classes after commencement of services shall not, by itself, constitute grounds for refund beyond the applicable refund eligibility period.
  10. The Parent/Guardian shall be required to participate in and complete a mandatory exit interview/meeting with BrightChamps’ authorized representatives as part of the refund review and processing procedure. Failure, refusal, non-responsiveness, or non-cooperation in attending such a meeting may result in the refund request being deemed incomplete and consequently ineligible for processing.
  11. The student and/or Parent/Guardian must not have had their enrollment, account, or access suspended or terminated by BrightChamps for cause, including but not limited to violation of applicable policies, abusive, inappropriate, threatening, or disruptive conduct, misuse of platform services, academic misconduct, fraudulent activity, payment-related violations, breach of trust, unauthorized payment disputes or chargebacks, or any conduct reasonably determined by BrightChamps to be harmful to BrightChamps, its employees, educators, contractors, systems, platform, reputation, or other users, and shall accordingly be deemed ineligible for any refund under this Refund Policy.
  12. If the Parent/Guardian opts for transfer of credits, change of teacher, migration to another course/program, rescheduling arrangement, retention benefit, alternate learning plan, extension, pause request, or any accommodation facilitated by BrightChamps’ retention or support team, the Parent/Guardian shall thereafter cease to be eligible for any refund under this Refund Policy.
  13. Initiating a dispute, chargeback, reversal request, or claim directly with any payment gateway, financial institution, bank, card provider, PayPal, or similar third-party payment intermediary shall not constitute a valid refund request under this Refund Policy. A refund request shall be considered valid only if formally submitted through BrightBuddy’s official refund request process within the applicable refund eligibility timeline prescribed under this Refund Policy. The applicable refund eligibility period shall not be extended, paused, revived, recalculated, or otherwise modified on account of any dispute, chargeback, or payment reversal initiated outside BrightChamps’ official refund channels.
  14. BrightChamps reserves the right to suspend classes, restrict platform access, withhold unused credits/classes, and/or pause ongoing services during the pendency of any payment dispute, chargeback investigation, or reversal proceeding.
  15. Where enrollment is made through an installment payment plan, refund eligibility shall be determined solely with reference to:
     (a) the date of the first installment payment for one-to-one classes; or
     (b) the date of the first scheduled class for one-to-many/group classes.
  16. Subsequent installment payments shall not restart, renew, extend, or otherwise modify the applicable refund eligibility period. Any refund request submitted beyond the applicable eligibility period shall be deemed ineligible, notwithstanding any pending, future, scheduled, or continuing installment payments.
  17. BrightChamps’ internal records, attendance logs, learning management system records, session reports, communication records, platform activity logs, scheduling records, and payment records shall be treated as prima facie accurate for determining enrollment status, service utilization, attendance, timelines, refund eligibility, and refund calculations.
Request Process

To request a refund, the Parent/Guardian must follow the steps below:

1. Submit a Written Request

Submit a refund request through the BrightBuddy Chat available on the dashboard, along with the student’s full name, contact information, and course/program details. The Parent/Guardian must ensure that all eligibility requirements under this Refund Policy have been satisfied.

2. No Late Requests

 Any refund request submitted beyond:

  • 10 (ten) days from the Payment Date for one-to-one classes; or
  • 10 (ten) days from the date of the first scheduled class for group classes,

3. shall be deemed ineligible and may be automatically rejected.

4. Confirmation of Receipt

BrightChamps will acknowledge receipt of the refund request within 48 hours.

5. Mandatory Exit Interview/Meeting

The Parent/Guardian may be required to attend an exit interview/meeting with BrightChamps representatives as part of the refund review process. This enables BrightChamps to better understand and address concerns prior to processing the refund request.

5. Review and Processing

BrightChamps will review the refund request and, if found eligible under this Refund Policy, process the refund within 20 business days.

Refund Amount

1. The refund amount shall be calculated after deduction of:

  • classes/credits utilized up to the date of the refund request; and
  • applicable refund processing charges, if any.

2. Where the Parent/Guardian has opted for an installment payment plan, BrightChamps may deduct applicable bank/payment processing charges associated with such installment payments.

3. BrightChamps reserves the right to revise applicable refund processing charges or bank/payment processing charges in the event of changes in banking policies, payment partner policies, government regulations, or related operational requirements.

4. Any dispute, chargeback, reversal, or payment-related fees imposed by banks, card providers, payment gateways, or financial institutions may be borne by the Parent/Guardian and may be deducted from the applicable refund amount.

5. In cases where a payment dispute or chargeback is resolved in favor of BrightChamps, any associated fees, reversals, or adjustments may be offset against the available class credits/classes or any pending refund amount.

Refund Process Mode

Refunds shall ordinarily be processed through the original mode of payment used at the time of enrollment. Where the original payment method is unavailable, inaccessible, unsupported, or otherwise impracticable, BrightChamps may process the refund through an alternate mode upon mutual agreement with the Parent/Guardian.

Acknowledgement from the Student/Parent

The Parent/Guardian acknowledges and agrees that BrightChamps shall not be liable for any delay in processing or receipt of refunds arising due to circumstances beyond BrightChamps’ reasonable control, including delays attributable to banks, card providers, financial institutions, payment gateways, payment processors, intermediary channels, or regulatory processes.

The Parent/Guardian further agrees that no interest, damages, penalty, compensation, or other monetary claim shall be payable by BrightChamps in relation to such delays.

4. No refund shall be provided for Unified Coding, Unified Financial Literacy (FinLit), subscription-based programs, or any other non-refundable offerings specifically designated by BrightChamps at the time of enrollment.

5. BrightChamps shall not be liable for delays caused by banks, financial institutions, payment gateways, payment processors, intermediary channels, technical failures, regulatory processes, or circumstances beyond BrightChamps’ reasonable control.

6. No interest, penalty, damages, or compensation shall be payable by BrightChamps in relation to any refund processing delay.

7. Where enrollment is made under any discount, scholarship, promotional offer, bundled pricing, referral benefit, coupon, or special pricing arrangement, BrightChamps reserves the right to appropriately adjust the refund amount, deduct the value of such benefits, or deem such benefits/credits non-refundable, as applicable.

8. In the event of any dispute, chargeback, reversal request, or claim raised directly with a payment partner, BrightChamps reserves the right to suspend or restrict access to classes, platform services, scheduled sessions, credits/classes, or related services during the pendency of the dispute resolution process.

Right to Modify

BrightChamps reserves the right to modify, amend, revise, suspend, or update this Refund Policy at any time at its sole discretion. The Parent/Guardian is encouraged to periodically review the latest version of the Refund Policy. Continued enrollment, access, or use of BrightChamps’ services following any modification shall constitute acknowledgment and acceptance of the updated Refund Policy.
